Living with Mr Taurus
If you are in love with a Taurus Man, August will bring some relief if you have been at loggerheads about family related matters. It could be that you have been involved in disagreements about your children or your respective children and how to manage domestic issues from time allocation to where the kids spend weekends i.e. with you and your guy or with your exes. Some sense should now prevail and you may be able to resolve these matters or at least find clever ways to circumvent them.
Home life has not be very relaxing recently, in fact Taurus Man may have had to make many compromises and these have not sat easily with him. If you have recently moved in with Mr Taurus; he could have been rather irritable with the adjustments and you have to admit, even though you love him, he can be very set in his ways and when his little routines and rituals are disturbed to make way for you he gets a tad cranky. Taurus Man can however smartly deflect questions aimed at the deep, dark private parts of his life with humour; there are some personal matters he does not want to be drawn on.
Taurus Man enjoys talking, in fact this month he may keep you up talking into the wee small hours as he is in a problem solving analytical frame of mind and there is this need he has to talk things though – he probably does not want feedback, he is thinking aloud and yet he needs you to be there paying attention.
Psychology, Honesty and Change.
The solar eclipse in August has a significant impact on family values and also a Taurean Man’s level of contentment and security. Taureans who find their partners do not offer some level of contentment or who do not contribute to their security (a key concern for Taurus) will find things reach a tipping point. Existing relationships which undermine who Taurus Man is at heart and which no longer reaffirm his independence and core values are certainly in question.
The key question you have to be honest about, if you are in love with Taurus Man, is how does he want you to change and do you want to change? Taurus Man is undergoing psychological changes right now, triggered by the eclipse, and some of these may manifest in him making what may seem as out of character demands and your own patience and tolerance can be tested. Taurus Man’s attitude to love is more sober and reflective this month with Taurus coming to terms with harsh realities and deeper psychological issues at play – it may be that these issues have come to light as you have both matured and become more savvy and/or just woken up or maybe the relationships is new and you are learning more about each other. In new and existing relationships you and Taurus Man must define yourselves as a couple and not be defined by anything or anyone else and so friends or family who seek to undermine the relationship or throw their penny’s worth in have to be given the cold shoulder.
Romance and Dating
Taurus Men are projecting a more mysterious persona, and they are attracted to people who seem to be in a journey. They are curious to know what you want from life and the more ideas and aspirations you have the more interested in you they become.
In dating, you and Taurus Man may be holding cocktail parties or entertaining at your home or at one of your respective homes. You may attend literary events or, if you have not yet met you may meet at a literary event, book launch or a recital. It is a month where Taurus is more involved with his family and so you may even be attending a wedding or milestone party with his family.
Taurus Man could be involved in prompting local tourism and if you are dating, one of your trips may be to a local museum or tourist spot where he tells you all the little secrets of his town’s past. Taurus Man may be more interested in history and culture right now and your dates may reflect that.
With the ruler of Virgo and thus Taurus Man’s 5th house retrograde until the 19th of August. Romantic affairs are subject to misunderstandings and miscommunications. He may get a time or date wrong or one of you could be caught in traffic or lose his cell phone; I know it is hard these days with so many communication avenues like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc. to have any excuse not to communicate, however Mercury retrograde is still cunning enough to engineer a communication glipse which can make you question whether you have been stood up. So, be patient and do not jump to the worst conclusion, give him at least a few minutes to make his excuses when he does get back in touch.
Taurus Man has a hearty sense of humour but there are times when he cracks one too far and it can grate on you, so perhaps overlook a little insensitivity it probably sounded good when he thought of it in his head even if it turned into a lead balloon soon after.
You best dates tend to be spontaneous affairs rather that heavily orchestrated ones and so best to meet up and let the evening take you by the scruff of the necks rather than trying to stick to a pre-arranged schedule or have expectations of anything highly specific.
Taurus Man can be a little suspicious in August, and he reads the worst into many situations, not just in connection with romance but in general; a little habit you must take control of. Be honest and direct with him as if you are vague he will probably let his imagination run wild with some misinterpretations. Some of his mistrust is to do with insecurity issues which have roots deep in his subconscious rather than in reality.
Many relationships that start now will have a strong karmic bond – you may have met in a past life, and you may have extraordinarily acute ESP together.
Home Life
If you and Taurus Man have set up home together and you may well be doing that right now as there is much action in the realm of Taurus’ domestic life, your attention may be drawn to issues around your home from repairs to improvements to discussions with your landlord or committee about rights and responsibilities. You may both move from a flat to a house and have more freedom in your home to do as you wish.
Taurus Man could be called to make decisions about their parents; he may have to assume the head of family role and take responsibility for some far reaching decisions.
As Mercury is retrograde until the 19th of August, any decision Taurus Man makes or anything he says before that time may not be set in stone and could be subject to change. As all signs are influenced by the vagaries of Mercury retrograde, it is good to avoid making promises, going on important trips and finalising any agreements during that phase.
After mercury goes direct on the 19th of August it will be ideal for any decisions you make in terms of home life; while it is good to have discussions and do research and planning before the 19th the final decision on any matter should be left until after that date.
There is a solar eclipse on the 11th of August and he effect can be a crystallisation of events relating to past relationships for Taurus Man. This eclipse can begin a powerful new phase of growth for him, almost a rites of passage time when he feels he can make some clean breaks with emotional ties or people from his past.
The eclipse also provides the impetus for any changes that are needed psychologically and gives Taurus courage to face up to some home truths – even though he may not admit it, as he is proud and admitting things to himself is often hard enough never mind saying it aloud and so do not go there; know when he is a little wounded and do not rub salt in it.

Health
Small insights into his own foibles and motivations can mean big gains in Taurus Man’s personal power and after a period of doubt, an increase in his own security. Look out for the period of doubt, which could result is him being a little needy and talking himself down or complaining – Taurus like a little self-pity in small doses, luckily it does not often last long, it is almost like a type of indulgence.
Taurus Man needs to give himself a shake down; he almost needs a wakeup call where a reality is thrust in his face and he starts to make adjustments. You can help him by not criticising him directly, but by helpfully suggesting how others may criticize him or dismantle his arguments and your perspective on how he would prepare for that. You can almost act like his coach, which works a lot better than being blunt like and Arian or Sagittarians may be and telling him just what you think no holds barred.
Taurus Man understands himself a lot better this month, although this process happens over the month and you may be able to observe it if you know him well; if you have just met him he may confuse you and give out so many mixed messages you may feel the relationship is like an emotional lucky dip.
Taurus Man tends to put himself through the mill this month and it may be very intense being with him: that is why you need to have time with your family and your friends as you can get sucked into his issues and his moods where whatever he is going through takes over your life. Taurus Man can be a distraction this month and you need to have a free headspace where you can just re-centre yourself and not lose touch which who you are, what you need and what your focus in life should be. Taurus Man should be part of your life in August 2018 as it may not be that healthy for you if he is all of your life.
Sex Life
Good sex is about understanding yourselves better and recognising certain gut reactions to things which are either useful or not – it is a good time to analyse, understand and change these unhelpful and often self-destructive reflex emotional reactions.
Sex life can always be improved and yet you both cannot escape the influence your upbringing had on making some aspects of sex or intimacy difficult and you may never be able to fully eradicate or shut these influences out. It is vital now to accept any limitations and decide to work within them, rather than raging against them which may be taking too much energy and creating too much stress. Once stress sets in, confidence and the ability to get those improvements can go out the window.
As a couple you should have a wider definition of what good sex is – good sex can be the orgasm, something naughty or forbidden, something that makes you feel loved, something relaxing, something that feels like escapism etc. In August good sex has to be preceded by the sense of deep understanding; if Taurus Man feel you do not know him, do not care to know him deeply or are no that bothered about the deeper aspects of his emotional life he can be wooden in love.
